Tonight’s camp

After an uneventful but pleasant drive we sadly ended up here:

I know, it’s terrible what we have to suffer, but we’ll persevere for the benefit of others😉

Must dash now as the campfire is beckoning.

Reunited

Last night was phenomenally peaceful.  The sky was full of stars and the only sound was of crickets in the undergrowth.

As we ate dinner, in our small globe of artificial light, we were disturbed by the eeriest sound.  It was the call to prayer from two different mosques echoing around the valley walls.  It did make us sit up and turn our head torches towards the bushes.

We broke camp and continued on to the next big town as the rest of the group were several hours behind us.

Eventually, at 15:00, we have met up and have stopped for lunch.  Listening to the tales of rufty tufty, dering do, winching, mud, slipping, getting stuck and generally making little progress makes our day sound positively boring.

Exactly as we wanted it to be😀

Best laid plans and all that……

So it would seem there has been a bit of a hiccup and the main group has been delayed.  As such we are wild camping alone and just about to enjoy our tea.

As you can see it it pitch black and all we can hear is the sound of crickets.

Utter silence

The sound of nothing, while we wait to hear from the others to RV, is incredible.

No wind, no traffic, no animals, no birds. Only us and an amazing view.
