"No man can live this life and emerge unchanged. He will carry the imprint of the desert, the brand which marks the nomad; and he will have a yearning to return. For this cruel land can cast a spell which no temperate climate can match."
Wilfred Thesiger, Explorer.

Nice day out testing my bits :o)

Sunday 13th December 2009

Days to go : 293

Yesterday I managed to finish the mammoth install of the 2 fuel tanks (full details are in the modifications section), and so, with 160 litres of freshly filtered vegetable oil on board we set off for a few hours playing at Beeston pit.

Although soft and muddy the rough terrain gave me a chance to test the terra firma suspension ( which was excellent Smile), the ground clearance of the new tank (which didn't seem to it anything Laughing) and the awning (which provided cover for nearly everybody at one point Surprised).

A good day seemed to be had by all.

Now a few gratuitous pictures to test the new 'gallery' plugin.  Seems to work fine Laughing.
