"No man can live this life and emerge unchanged. He will carry the imprint of the desert, the brand which marks the nomad; and he will have a yearning to return. For this cruel land can cast a spell which no temperate climate can match."
Wilfred Thesiger, Explorer.

Grass cutting and family visits

Days to go : 146

I always think it's pointless cutting the grass as it will only grow again.  Getting on with the car is far more important.

Unfortunately Belinda has a different view and a desire for matrimonial harmony combined with a visit from our daughter seriously curtailed my activities today.

However I did manage to steal an hour to fit the new window privacy screens which arrived during the week.

These are a superb product, highly recommended and I have added an article here describing how they fit and work.

A trip to Norwich yesterday gave a chance to test the tracker and alert system which worked very well sending me a text message as soon as the ignition was turned on and another once the car had moved only a few feet.  I can now monitor the car's position from anywhere via the internet and I am comfortable that I will get an alert if anyone tampers with it.

Back to London tomorrow so more to come next weekend.
