After the success of the weekend trip with 600 miles and a nights camping under my belt I was lulled into a false sense of security.
Driving home from work yesterday the car developed a noticeable and annoying vibration right across the rev range. Through a series of small tests I have narrowed it down to a propshaft problem.
The vibration appears when under power, freewheeling in neutral (yes I know it's naughty) gives a lovely smooth ride. So it's not wheel balance. Revving the engine, again in neutral, again gives no judder. So that only leave the drive system.
Unfortunately it's been pouring down for the last few days, so crawling around on the drive wiggling the shafts didn't appeal so i have booked it into JSF tomorrow for them to give it good dose of looking at.
We are planning to go to the LRM show at Stonleigh at the weekend and I don't have the time to do it myself.
I shall report the findings tomorrow.
