"No man can live this life and emerge unchanged. He will carry the imprint of the desert, the brand which marks the nomad; and he will have a yearning to return. For this cruel land can cast a spell which no temperate climate can match."

Post trip depression

Today was the first day back at work as I had been suffering from a chest infection which had hounded e throughout the trip.

The car hasn't moved since we got home although we did bring in the clothes for washing.  On Sunday we cleared the fridge and brought in the remain food and on Monday we stripped the sheets, duvet and pillows from the tent.

The washing machine doesn't know what hit it, it hasn't stopped.

I have spent much of the last few days compiling the trip report which I have now completed enough to publish.  This has been a fairly major task with over 2200 photos to sort through.

The next task is to tackle the 60 hours of video!

As you will see from the countdown above we have provisionally booked to go to Morocco with Atlas Overland in March 2012.  We need to look at the route options taking the mountain terrain into account to ensure that it is possible.  But the planning is part of the fun.

I will be having a break from the car for a while so updates on here may be a bit sporadic.  But, rest assured, any modifications, improvements, new kit or repairs will be listed.
